Guiding Families Through the College Planning & Admission Process

The College Landscape

The college application and enrollment process is growing increasingly complex, competitive, and costly. As each student applies to more schools, admission becomes more selective. Nearly one third of students transfer to a different college, and fewer than 40% graduate in four years. Tuition costs are rising faster than inflation, so choosing the right college the first time is more important now than ever. New England Educational Partners is committed to supporting students through this process, and guiding families in their search to find the best match.

Applying to college is not an event, but a process that requires thoughtful planning throughout high school. Unfortunately, most students are not receiving crucial advising due to budgetary constraints in many school districts. Nationally, the current student-to-counselor ratio is 476:1. The average public school student receives 38 minutes of personal college counseling time over the course of four years. Most students and families will benefit from more support in the process and that's where an educational consultant can complement the work of guidance counselors by providing personalized attention outside of regular school hours.

OUR PARTNERSHIP

We customize the college planning and admission process to meet individual needs based on our belief that all students have a unique set of intellectual strengths, attributes, and learning styles. As professional partners, we assist students and families with everything, from initial planning to applying and evaluating options. New England Educational Partners defines possibilities that are attainable academically, socially, and financially.

With so many postsecondary options available, it can be easy for families to feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin. An independent educational consultant can have a significant impact on a student’s college search, helping to reframe the process as an exciting opportunity for self-discovery.
